Roger SchultzRoger Schultz - set, properties, & costume design

Roger can’t believe his fortune in being able to bring the glamourous/legendary Hedwig and her glam punk entourage to the tacky stage of the historically infamous Roxy Theatre. He is now officially the most recent MFA Theatre Design graduate from the U of A having just completed his thesis production: a mid - 50’s/Grecian/Las Vegas floor show version of LYSISTRATA. He has worked for almost everybody in town, has had four Sterling nominations, a Dora Nomination (in Toronto) and has won three Sterling awards. Favourite designs include: THE LAKE OF THE HEART, SHOCKER’S DELIGHT, YOURS ANNE, THREE SISTERS, DADS – THE MUSICAL! and THE CAUCASIAN CHALK CIRCLE. Roger also works frequently as an actor and has made a number of celebrity appearances in his alter ego, wanna be lounge singer, Steele Sterling.

Stephen Trask - composer/lyricist

Stephen is the author of the music and lyrics for HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH as well as the original Music Director for the show. He was the original leader of the notorious Squeezebox house band. During his time there as Music Director he performed with Debbie Harry, Lene Lovitch, Hole, Green Day, Joey Ramone, as well as New York's most popular drag queens. For five years Stephen performed with his band, Cheater, who originated the role of “The Angry Inch” off-Broadway and performed on the original cast recording. From 1993-1998, Stephen danced with and accompanied The Corner Store Dance Company. He has scored numerous dance pieces and movies. During HEDWIG’s reign at the Jane Street Theatre, Stephen received an Obie Award, the Outer Critics Circle Award for Outstanding off Broadway Musical, a 1998 New York Magazine Award, Drama Desk nominations for Outstanding Music, Outstanding Lyrics, and Outstanding New Musical, a Grammy Nomination for Best Cast Album and two GLAMA Awards: Best Cast Album and Best Score for Film or Stage. He was the producer for the album for the rock band Nancy Boy, as well as the score and soundtrack album for the film version of HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH.

Marek Tyler - Schlatko (drums)

Marek likes to drink coffee, watch Star Trek and play drums with his friends. Touring with The New Meanies and Old Reliable has afforded him a growing list of Canada's best 24 hour gas stations and breakfast joints. With upcoming summer releases from Mr. Relaxer, AA Sound System, Andrea House and Mark Davis (Old Reliable) and subsequent tours, 2003 will be a whole lotta fun.

Chris Wynters – musical director/ Skszp (guitar)

Three years ago Chris appeared on stage here at the Roxy in the Leave it to Jane/ Lugan Theatre co-production of DIAMOND STUDS (THE LIFE OF JESSE JAMES) along with all his real life bandmates, Captain Tractor. He’s now thrilled to be part of the not quite so real life band THE ANGRY INCH. It was fun to be Jesse James but what could be better than being an eastern block punk rocker with no vowels in his name? Chris has just written a musical version of Shakespeare’s THE WINTER’S TALE with Bridget Ryan that is running at Grant MacEwan College. He’s looking forward to appearing in GREASE at the Citadel in May then having his first child with his wife Maria in June.
